Woven Painted Foil
You will need:
- Cardboard
- String
- Acrylic Paint
- Aluminum Foil
- BrushX-Acto Knife
1. Cut a frame out of cardboard to a preferred size. Measure and cut small notches on both ends of cardboard.
2. Tape end of string to back of frame. Make the warp threads by pulling string fairly tight in grooves then wrap behind frame coming up on next groove. Continue until end, then tape end to frame.
3. Cut strips of aluminum foil and paint with acrylic paints. (Suggestion: pre-mix a few limited colors) Leave some foil showing. Also paint frame, let dry.
4. Weave painted foil into warp threads.
Optional: Beads can be added to warp or feathers or other yarn can also be woven in.
