You will need:
- Construction paper – 6 colors
- 9″ × 12″ white paper
- Glue
- Oik pastels
1. Start with six different colored sheets of 9 x 12” construction paper. Fold each piece of colored paper in half, lengthwise, and then into thirds so that there are six equal rectangles. (If there are multiple students, each student can get a color and then exchange rectangles with each other.) Tear along the folds. Glue one of each rectangle color right next to each other onto the white paper to create your background.

2.Fold two rectangles of each color in half lengthwise. Make sure to do this on the fold so that you are creating circles. Tear the paper into four or five consecutively smaller circles. Make separate piles of each color.

3. Start with the center circles and lay one of each color on a different background color. Glue in place. Arrange the circles on each of the squares making sure to have various sizes and colors on each rectangular space.
Optional. Finish artwork by layering different lines/circles of oil pastels onto the colored circles.
