You will need:
Weave A Heart
- Pencil
- Paper
- Watercolor paints (warm & cool colors)
- Scissors
Note: Printing an outline of each half of the heart, with cut lines, to then paint on is one option. Having a stencil to trace on each painted paper of one warm and one cool is another option. Also consider that thicker paper may be more difficult to weave.
1. Create a stencil or master pattern of half of the heart. This sample is 4” x 6.5” with 6 strips about 5/8” in width.
2. Paint one half of the heart warm colors and the other half cool colors.
3. Cut out each half making sure to cut strips deep enough to make weaving easier.
4. Weave two halves together.
